Automating the Tagging process (for servers in EPO)

Hello,

Hoping to ask if there is a way to tag a large list of servers by using an automated server task or some combination there of? I have a large number of devices across many groups. and I need to complete a specific task randomly.

If I had a text file that contains  a list of assets, can I automate the placement of a specific tag for these assets. It would be so much easier than tagging them manually.

Thank you.

You can have a list of systems in a txt file, run a server task to import systems by list, then as sub action, apply tag to them.

Re: Automating the Tagging process (for servers in EPO)

Would you have any documented steps for setting this up. I am also reviewing the options in EPO.

I have a critical task that I am trying to automate via a Server Task.

Over the next month, I need apply a specific TAG Set to a list of servers that will consistently change.

IS there a way to setup a Server Task that can reference a .TXT file (with a list of server names) and then have a specific TAG Set applied automatically to the servers on that list?

I would also like to setup a reverse task that will then remove the TAG  Set from the same list of servers.

Any steps that you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

You would create a text file as a list of system names, each on its own line, then set up server task as above.
