Can not update Master Repository EPO 4.5

Hi all,

we have a problem with updating our Master Repository.

Trying to download the avvdat-7436.zip always fail.

Task Error: Fehler beim Herunterladen der Datei "Current\VSCANDAT1000\DAT\0000\avvdat-7436.zip" von der Site "update.nai.com:80". Fehlercode: 12002

translation (Error while downloading the file Current\VSCANDAT1000\DAT\0000\avvdat-7436.zip from site update.nai.com:80. error code 12002)

We are using a proxy, but downloading the file via Explorer works without any problems.

Our security guys say that there is no problem with the proxy and that all connections are build up successfully.

But when we try to update the repository, we get the error 20140513114627    E    #21204    naInet      InternetOpenUrl failed on Server: update.nai.com:80, error msg:  (see error log report below)

Any ideas what can cause this error

But please bear in mind ePO 4.5 has been out of support since the end of last year.

You should consider upgrading to a supported version first if possible.

Can you reach the website http://update.nai.com/products/commonupdater or ftp://ftp.nai.com/CommonUpdater?

Let´s make sure that is not an issue with a Firewall/proxy.

Its never been issue with proxy configuration.

Its the issue that mcafee has to resolve with its  config or checksum files as http://update.nai.com/products/commonupdater/avvdat.ini

Normally they keep the new files at the location but does not update these checksum files which still reflecting to older files.

An until they resolve this issue normal automated scheduler has been went out ahead so until further manual intervention or all McAfee mirror sites does not get well updated this remains as an failure to end users.
