Client Task - product deployment for Trellix Agent

Jump to solution
When we go to the client catalog, choose per say TrellixAgent>>ProductDeployment>>MA Install for tag1/group (for Windows OS) It automatically pre-populates the branch details (existing value for the branch) as below- Edit the Products and Components > Select McAfee agent for Windows 5.7.8 > Action: Install > Branch: Evaluation Is this a new feature that got introduced for Trellix because earlier when it was 5.7.7 (when it was known as McAfee), this option had to be manually set for which branch to choose instead of autopopulation.

For agent deployments, you only have to choose the version you want to deploy.  If, however, you have the same version in more than one branch, it might need a choice.

Point products would also probably need a branch selection if there is more than one version in different branches.

I tested on my system and when I chose the version of agent to deploy, it automatically filled in the branch.  As far as I know that has always been the case, even when you use client task instead of product deployment.
