Have run the Update 7 fine on the EPO server but now trying to run it on separate Agent Handler and cannot get beyond the credentials screen. Using correct sql creds that worked fine with update 6 but just will not parse through for update 7. Is this a known bug? Agent handler in sep domain to EPO so using local SQL creds.

No update installer log as we never got beyond the initial credentials screen. On checking SQL logs it was saying bad password - but it was not, as you could log on locally to sql with the account and password.
All was revealed this morning when we found out there had been major network issues between the AH network and the EPO network which had in effect timed out the SQL authentication process each time. That was fixed last night and lo and behold the update then ran fine straight away.
So issue closed and tracked to network performance issues.
No, it is not a known bug. Can the ah resolve the sql and epo servers by fqdn or do you need a host entry, or is nic configured with dns from both domains? Do sql error logs show any specific errors with login attempt? What does the epoupdater log show? That would be in the %temp% directory and if not there, try mcafeelogs directory. Don't post any log entries that contain sensitive info.
