Failed to authenticate with remote system, system (Unable to deploy Agent) 5.9.1

Jump to solution

Hello, we installing a new Mcafee ePO 5.9.1 infrastructure and faced the issue with Agent deployment.

Admin account not locked and have a full access to remote machine.

Question is how to troubleshoot and what logs need to check.

When deploying Agent (Add a new system in ePO) I am getting error.

Also we have dedicated 2 AH for workstations. But in Server Task Log  I see that deployment starting through ePO and not trying to use other 2 AH.

Starting deployment to computer PCName1 through the Agent Handler ePOserver.domain.NET

So found the solution.

Required to open Outbound port 445 from AH to Workstations.

We are using same machine and same user. On ePO 5.3.1 working fine.

On new 5.9.1 I am facing this issue.

Any ideas?

From machine I am able to telnet to AH on 80 and 443 ports.

When you deploy the agent are you choosing all agent handlers or a specific one?  Can the client telnet to the epo server itself on those ports?  From the epo server or agent handler, can you map a drive to the client to admin$ using the push credentials, and can you write to the windows directory?  Can the server or ah resolve the dns name of the clients?
