Re: Incremental Updates

Please provide more information.

What version of epo (including patch level)

what was the last DAT you downloaded?

what is the failure message in the log on the update from mcafee task

what does the epo log say for the period when the update fails (you may want to enable level 8 logging for this)

have you made any firewall changes

Re: Incremental Updates

The download package that you check into EPO (When EPO doesn't have net access) is here: http://www.mcafee.com/apps/downloads/security_updates/packages.asp?region=us&segment=enterprise

It looks up to date. As already commented, what version of EPO do you have, which version of McAfee Anti-Virus do you use etc.

Re: Incremental Updates

From memory, the only incremental engine that was available was 5301 (an upgrade from the 5300 engine).

The latest engine is 5400, and 5300/5301 has been end-of-life since Feb 2010, so it's not surprising to me that they have removed the update.

Re: Incremental Updates

The engine version has not changed at all in that time period. It is still 5400 so this does not sound like a factor to your problem.

It may help everyone to know more detail on what you mean by 'just stopped' please.

The more information you can give, the better we can respond to you

Rgds,

Rob.
