Java SE 8 maxing CPU & Memeory

Since installing ePO 5.10.0 Update10, the Java SE 8 process has been max'ing out both memory and cpu. Has anyone else noticed this?

Is that version of java installed separately, showing in add/remove programs and not installed in the epo directory?  If so, it is not required to be installed on epo as the install installs its own java that it uses within the install directory of epo.
