MCafee EPO 5.10 clean install fails in latest step (starting new services) en does rollback

hi, I try to install mcafee epo 5.10 on windows server 2016 with ms sql server 2016. everything works fine until the last step. in this step it does a rollback. I have enabled TLS 1.2 I have enabled force encryption In sql server configuration manager I have inserted the certificate en i gave the sql usergroup acces to private key in mmc certificates .

I believe that you have successfully executed the PIA tool and passed all the checklists.

After checking the logs:

20190917095434 Failed to connect to SQL Server [WBEANR008944345] with error code [0x80004005]
20190917095434 Description for error code is [[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (SECCreateCredentials()).]SSL Security error.]
20190917095434 Failed in connectToSQLServer with error code [183].
20190917095434 Exiting VerifyOurDatabase with return code: 2

What all permissions are allowed on the database?

Please refer the below KB article and check whether that is working or not:

If the installation is still getting failed in that case please collect the logs from %temp% McAfee Logs and provide us.

If you don't want to proceed with the installation again in that case as well please provide the logs so we can check and try to resolve your installation issue.

hi, I tried the pause method en changed de java file, but its still not solved, log files are in the attachment ,thank you

You need to get an nmap output from sql server on port 1433 and epo server on port 8443 (you will need to get that during the install when you see the application server service running). See KB91115. Also see if KB91259 applies.

hi, I tested with a udl file, first time it failed with the ssl error same like the mcafee error logs.... ,then i looked to the provider tab. I saw there that "Microsoft ole db provider for sql server" was selected default. i changed this to "sql server native client 11.0" and it succeed to connect to the database... So i think my mcafee installation choose the wrong ole db provider ? please see the image in attachement

It should work with Microsoft ole db provider for sql server. Is the native client installed on your epo server? You would do that for whatever sql version you have.
