McAfee Slack

Jump to solution

Is there a McAfee Admins Slack page/channel somewhere for real time discussions of stuff?

Re: McAfee Slack

there is a great community slack at macadmin.slack.com and in there we chat about mcafee on Macs.  I was curious if there was a mcafee.slack.com or similar, but I am finding out that is not the case.

Not sure exactly what you are asking.  These forums are monitored, but only as live as someone is monitoring them.  There are sections on the forum for different subjects, but without knowing more specifically what you are looking for, it is hard to say.  There isn't a chat with a live person option, if that is what you are asking.

i find myself wondering the same thing. to be able to pop into a channel to bounce ideas off others who might have the same issue going on.... seems like it would be a great collaboration front. for example, all of a sudden DLP stopped working on our MACs. this would have been nice to ask questions and ping ideas with other DLP savvy folks to engage ideas. Rather than the alternative... scan articles, call mcafee support and listen to 10 minutes of a pre-recording telling me to download an app to create a ticket and read KB articles. This wont take away from McAfee support calls and MERs if that's what you're worried about. Plenty of that to go around.

Technically, that is what these community forums are for, but they may not be as real time as people want. We try to answer pretty quickly, but that isn't always the case.  You also might want to try a couple of the ones under the "other" section, like expert center, open forum, general, etc.  I don't know how frequently they are responded to or how active they are, to be honest.
