McAfee agent 4.0 or ePO agent 3.6.0 with patches??

I have an EPO server 4.0 and ePO agent 3.6.0 installed.
Should I install the McAfee agent 4.0 and Remove the ePO agent 3.6?
Is McAfee Agent 4.0 is a upgrade of ePO agent 3.6?
please help

Agent 4.0 can detect many more options on your clients providing better reporting in EPO 4. I highly recommend the update.

It also works as an MSI. Ive been very pleased with it over 3.6

Definately 4 - I was running 3.6 but 4 is so much better. A lot more customizable with lots of better reporting options.

I'm in a position now where I'm looking at updated vse from 8.5 to 8.7 and also updating epo agent from 3.6 to 4.0.

Noticed that epo agent is patched to Ver 4.0.0 Patch 1, so do I need to roll out Ver 4.0.0 before the patch or will Ver 4.0.0 Patch 1 update from 3.6?

It should upgrade directly - we've tested the upgrade path on our pilot systems direct from agent version 3.5 - only problem we had was DAT updates failed until we got the workaround of configuring the Agent Proxy Settings to "do not use a proxy" 🙂
