So im asking a question i already know the answer too.
Can you recover an ePO from only the DB. Nothing else, no copied files , no config files, no snapshot or DR backup only the the DB.

Thank you for your post. It is not possible to recover the ePO only through Database, we would need either one of the criteria which you mentioned.
The very least, you would need a valid snapshot in the database from server task, disaster recovery snapshot, and know the passphrase. The reason you can't restore from just a database without anything else is that each install of epo creates its own root private CA cert and all other certs are based on that root. When you restore from backup files or a DR snapshot, those original certs/keys are retained. Otherwise you would need to start over fresh and redeploy agents.

Turns out there was something wrong with the Snapshot in the DB as well as that recovery option didnt work either.
Ended up building an entire new environment for them and just added all the other services to the new ePO.
Hopefully they add everything to the backups now and fix the Hyper-v host.
