We intend to upgrade McAfee products as per the following matrix in our environment through ePO. We want to know what McAfee recommends regarding the update sequence and reboot requirements. Hi,

Considering the below products, first i would recommend you to test the below products on few ssytems before you move on Mass deployment. There are few products required reboot most probably i think ENS (please refer installation guide).

There is a conflict between ENS/MAR. Where in MAR 2.4.1 is not supported ENS 10.7. In such case you have to upgrade MAR server/client first then followed by ENS.

In regards to VSE, yes the existing version/Latest one is still supported to MAR 2.4.1

VSE.JPG

McAfee Agent (Windows) 5.6.2.209 5.6.5.236

McAfee Agent (Linux) 5.6.0.568 5.6.5.236

Endpoint Security Platform 10.6.1.1872 10.7.0.1733

ENS Threat Prevention 10.6.1.1928 10.7.0.1751

ENS ATP 10.6.1.1613 10.7.0.1929

ENS Linux Threat Prevention 10.6.4.114 10.7.0.351

Kernel Modules for Linux 10.6.4.134 10.7.0.130

DXL Server Broker 6.0.0.197 6.0.0.203

MAR Server 2.4.1.129 2.4.3.357

MAR client 2.4.1.129 2.4.3.359

VSE 8.8 patch 14 8.8 patch 15

So the conclusion is, start by Agent, DXL/ MAR/ VSE /ENS.
