Password and User Policies in EPO 5.10

Jump to solution

With the addition of password policies in EPO 5.10, I am being asked to find out if the following will occur:

- Will the user be prompted for to change their password (this did not happen in the older versions)?

- Will the user be notified starting a set number of days out that thier password will expire?

- Is there any way to set the number of old passwords that can be used?

I know that this can be done with AD authentication but my customer is asking if it is native to EPO. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Yes, when a password expires, they will be prompted to enter a new password.

- Will the user be notified starting a set number of days out that thier password will expire?

Don't have any documentation on that and can't test it as yet, since lowest expiration is 30 days.  So, I am not sure on that one yet.  I would assume so, but no guarantee.

- Is there any way to set the number of old passwords that can be used?

Yes, in server settings, password settings.
