Hi Good People,
I have been noticing some alerts on EPO Dashboard as shown below,
Today i have clicked the link for myavert security threats and checked the pending protection which was Generic.dx!bdr4 , i wanted to know if its ok to ignore. i have already created a user defined rule to block the virus, is it neccessary?

Has now been corrected by McAfee Labs, the change should be filtering through for you now - if it has not done so already.

Meshack,
That is not quite how that works. The name of the detection (I guess in this case, McAfee calls it Generic.dx!bdr4) is not the name of the process or file to block itself. The alert should've given you more information about other ways to mitigate the issue, if that is possible at this time. I have not seen this specific alert, so I cannot tell you how to extrapolate this exact one. However, it has been my experience that you can pretty much just ignore the alerts or at most consider them merely informational about what is out there.
Regards,
Mark
Just to confirm, this message is not something to worry about, and will be corrected shortly.
Thanks -
Joe
