Providing DAT updates to network Isolated ePO server

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out a solution for the following;

If I have an ePO server that has no external access beyond shared access to a UNC folder - is there any way I can provide updates/DAT files to this server by simple file transfer? I can deploy an upstream ePO server in the network that does have internet access which can put files into a directory that the off-network ePO server can reach, but I can't have communication between the two ePO servers directly.

Thanks

Re: Providing DAT updates to network Isolated ePO server

Hi...

Yes, this is perfectly possible - it's what we were referring to in the other thread. The details are in KB82581 . So as I understand it you have two ePO servers that can't talk directly to each other, but there's another server that they can both see the filesystem of - is that right?
If so you would create a UNC distributed repository on the shared server owned by the upstream server, and then use this share as the source site for the downstream ePO server.

Regards -

Joe
