Removal of PIP Product Improvement Program

Jump to solution

We've migrated several clients lately that show TELEMTRY1000 under the products list.  I've now come to understand that this is Product Improvement Program (PIP).  I'd like to remove this software from the 20-30 systems we migrated.  Forcing an upgrade to the latest PIP fails.  Trying to uninstall from EPO also fails.

I'm guessing the Endpoint Removal tool (aka ripper) would maybe remove it along with everything else, but I'd rather only uninstall the PIP application ONLY (and it isn't listed in EPR/Ripper).

Does anyone have a reliable method of removing only PIP/Telemtry1000?

Does this key exist on those systems that you can't remove it from?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Network Associates\ePolicy Orchestrator\Application Plugins\TELEMTRY1000

If so, there is an uninstall string in there.  If you run that in an admin command prompt, does that remove it?

Thanks cdinet.  This worked. I actually logged into a machine with that and threw it into a BAT file and then used EEDK tool to uninstall it as desired.  Had another old application that we no longer use to do the same.  Seems to work well.
