The server task "in progress" and has completion date at the same time

This is quiet misleading but I have events in server task log showing "in progress" and the completion date at the same time. I tried to purge the data and even restarted the services but it is not helping.

I have some other task in progress which is running for more than 1000Hrs and never ends. Please give me any suggestion or idea clear this error.

Hi ssedhai,

Did you try to restart all three EPO services. What is your ePO version.

@LKS Yes, that was the first thing I have done  but the task are still there but as suggested by @cdinet How can I create a ticket to have a look into this one? Sorry, I was not able to update before due to the Holidays. Thank you guys for the suggestion as well.

To open a ticket, you can either go to support.mcafee.com and log into service portal and create ticket there, or you can call into support for your region.  Go here, then click on the support tab and your country to get the number to call.  You will need your grant number.

That is an automatic response.  What is the action it is supposed to take?

What version of epo?  If 5.10, do you have any updates installed?

Otherwise, check kb84114 to ensure the dbcleanup task is running properly.

Re: The server task "in progress" and has completion date at the same time

I had this same issue with a Client Event Automatic Response server task two days ago.  It's not clear why it happened.  I used the queries listed in this post to clear them out of In Progress.

I'm running ePO update 4. Not sure if it's a known issue.

Re: The server task "in progress" and has completion date at the same time

To find root cause, we would need some debug logging specific to notifications and would require a ticket opened with McAfee.  There are any number of reasons, so I wouldn't even try guessing on this one.
