Hi, yes, thanks i can successfully browse to it from a browesr on the server, but the main repository pull still fails.
I have tried a repo pull using McAfeeFTPMigrated (instead of the current McAfee http) and it pulled something down. (I had already uploaded the current dats earlier, so maybe didnt update everything because of this?)
I'll check tomorrow- but should the repo pull still be able to download using McAfee http? Thanks
Yes, that should still work. You might be running into an issue with hitting a site while it is being replicated to. For that reason, we suggest running a pull task at least 3 times a day at different times, such as morning, noon, afternoon. If one fails, but others succeed, then ignore the one that fails. When you need to be concerned is if they all fail consistently.

Hello everyone, this is Jay, formerly from McAfee, I just finished a video explaining how to make the link change. This community does not permit a youtube link. Browse to youtube and search for two words,
epomd EPO22
This will take you to the new video explaining how the link update can work.
There is a KB that tells how to do that also if you can't install CU 15

if we have this result (PCL), what to do ? is it okay to apply the script ? (see the attachement),
Here is a short URL to the video on fixing the software catalog pointer for epo.trellix.com
shorturl.at/ORUWX (Paste that in your browser to access the video)
incidentally- if you run patch 15 but it doesnt install (ie. needs extensions updated) it still updates the software catalog url first. Can see that in the log
... short update from my side ...
I used the solution and modified the hosts file at "c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\"
Add the line => 136.179.57.116 epo.mcafee.com
And instant the server task "Download Software Product List" worked
I know this isn't a perfect solution but till I'm able to upgrade to patch14 or patch15 I will use this interim solution.
ciao
Rainer
You really shouldn't have to do that. If you can't run update 15, you could just run this script to update the url in epo.
Update EPOSoftwareCatalogServer SET ServerName='epo.trellix.com', Port=443, debugFlags = 0, useSSL = 1"
