What is the best process to upgrade existing MA 4.0 P2 clients to P3

Most of my clients are at P2 (1444). Is there a way to automate upgrades to P3 (1494) without creating a new installation task?

For instance - VSE 8.7 P2 is a hotfix that automatically installs with my regular update task. Does not require anything special.

MA requires an installation task. Even though it's labeled "Patch 3" it is really a completely new installation.
