deploying VSE 8.8 after failed patch update

Hi all, this has been a bit of a mess from day 1. 

so we are on a really old version of everything, 

epo - 4.6.9

mcafee agent - 4.8.0

vse - 8.8 patch 9

i upgraded to patch 11 but to cut a long story short i need to now go back to VSE 8.8 patch 9.  as far as i can tell everything is fine (i don't have a great deal of experience with mcafee), but no matter what i do i cannot get VSE 8.8 to show up in the products and components list

 existing installs are unaffected and running fine, anything new and i can't deploy VSE

i've attached screenshots of each relevant screen (as far as im aware)

It looks like you just have the patch checked into the repository.  You need the full install with p9 for deployments to new systems.

huh, where can i get this or am i best to download the below and update to patch 9?
actually that just looks like the patch as well when i went to download it.

where can i get the full download without patch 11?

i have access to backups for our server that mcafee is on, can i get it from there somewhere?  i did restores to get the patch 9 from there but couldn't see a zip file that would contain the whole program.

You should be able to get it from software manager in epo, or go to the McAfee main download site and enter your grant number.

i can only see things mention patch 11 from the mcafee website

The package named "Install - Windows (patch 11)" is the full install that is at patch 11 build.

The package named "Patch 11Version 8.8.0.11" is just the patch, not the full install.

but i need patch 9, patch 11 wont work with the rest of our components.  is it possible to downgrade a patch no?

Patch 9 is not supported on some of the versions of Windows 10.  What won't it work with?  You can open a ticket with McAfee to get a copy of patch 9 installer if you really need it, but be sure you don't try to install it on an unsupported OS version.

perfect thanks.  No thats fine, not going with mcafee for the windows 10 machines, i just need to get the server back to the way it was
