ePO 5.10 Service Pack 1 Update (ePO 5.10 SP1 CU):

Just for confirmation, if I have already got my ePO server and agent handlers on Update 15 (2.0.0.1291) do I need to install Service Pack 1 Update (ePO 5.10 SP1 CU)?

OK, think I've just worked this out, the answer is Yes and it should take my installs to Update 16

Hi Chris,

Have you installed SP1 and all went ok? I did a test on my lab and it failed, but on Server info it shows SP1. Also for Remote Agent handler installation it fails.

Thank you.

What is the error in the logs for the failure?

I haven't tried it yet, I'm having to schedule a downtime for the week after next.

Re: ePO 5.10 Service Pack 1 Update (ePO 5.10 SP1 CU):

I managed to find some time early this morning to try the upgrade and it worked successfully on my ePO server and agent handlers. Fairly quick installs (especially on the agent handlers).

ePO showing  Version: 5.10.0.4067
Update Installed: Service Pack 1

and agent handlers showing Service Pack 1.

I checked repository pulls, software catalog updates, DXL (my agent handlers are also DXL brokers), TIE and a few other things, everything looks good.

Re: ePO 5.10 Service Pack 1 Update (ePO 5.10 SP1 CU):

Hi,

I tried to update also to SP1 from CU 15 (using ePO 5.10 Service Pack 1 Update (ePO 5.10 SP1 CU)) and the installation failed.

I cannot find any logs in C:\ProgramData\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator\ePOUpdaterLogs and we I reconnect to ePO is says:

Version:

5.10.0.2428

Update Installed:Service Pack 1

But:

Apache Version:2.4.54
OpenSSL Version:1.0.2zf-fips

Which are not matching with SP1 version... Did you face the same issue?

Regards,

Thomas,

Check the user temp\mcafeelogs folder or see if there is maybe a trellix log folder now.  It should have logged something definitely.  You can also try running it again, but make sure that all services are off, including agent handlers and also disable ENS.

Re: ePO 5.10 Service Pack 1 Update (ePO 5.10 SP1 CU):

Found some logs in C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\2\McAfeeLogs but UpdaterUI_L1VWPDTC-MCEP01_error.log is empty...

Nothing interresting in UpdaterUI_L1VWPDTC-MCEP01.log at first glance (no error nor failure...)

Relaunching  upgrade with ENS disabled does not help either 😞
