ePo 3.6.1 not pushing agent installs

Hi

We have been running ePo 3.5 base package for the last 3 years and we haven't had an issues with udates or installs of agents on to client pc's adding new clients to the ePO server. However with PC's being shipped with Vista it was inevitable that we had to upgrade to ePo 3.6.1 with patch 1. we now have an issue were not all clients are having the latest DAT engine downloaded to them, even a manual update from the client machine does not work, and if we try to add or send/push an agent install on a new or current pc regardless of operating system it does not initialise or any HDD activity on the client PC.

Help !!!!

RE: ePo 3.6.1 not pushing agent installs

Hi

I've done all that already, its not just on Vista its on XP too. Like Its only since the upgrade that it rufuse to work correctly - the install did go well no probs during it. Can't understand what has changed, its pull through the ports and password credentials, most odd.

RE: ePo 3.6.1 not pushing agent installs

When you try to send agent install to client, do you get any messages in the server log?

(in the epo console, right click the ePO server, pick 'Server Events')

If you don't get any error messages, then you're in trouble since you lack msg output to diagnose the error.

In that case I would drill down and analyze the traffic leaving the ePO server. Just to check what type of TCP communication was being established when the send agent was initiated.

From my experience, I only get that type of errors when I'm using an invalid domain account to send the agents.

RE: ePo 3.6.1 not pushing agent installs

A little late, but someone may still be able to use this info.

I am having trouble pushing the agent to some systems while VSE "Access Protection" is enabled. The client package isn't allowed to stop the Mcafee services or replace any files.

I discovered this the hard way after changing the agent to server comm port and trying to redeploy the agents.
