epo upgrade 5.10 problem with table fragmented

Jump to solution

Hi,

During PIA  i've got many table fragmented over 30%.

Following KB87769 with "All" option from ePO (https://<ePO_system_IP_address>:8443/remote/EPOCore.RebuildIndexesCommand?mode=1&table=All) with success I'm still getting only 1 table fragmented 93%.

Table name: IX_EPExtendedEventMT_TargetHash

I run the command also from sql MSM

EXEC EPOUtil_FetchIndexesToBeRebuildAndRebuild 1, IX_EPExtendedEventMT_TargetHash, 0

But PIA continue to show table is fragmented.

Any suggestion?

If you have run the reiindex script from our kb that you were given and you still get the warning, then you can still proceed with the upgrade.  It will not prevent the upgrade.  Highly fragmented databases will just take longer, but it won't cause it to fail necessarily, depending on the degree of fragmentation.  It could cause deadlocks in some circumstances.  The defrag script will only reorganize larger tables with fragmentation over 30%, so there may show some smaller tables with high fragmentation.  That is fine.
