macompatsvc

Hello,

I have installed FRP on my machine and I can see that there is macompatsvc Item from unidentified developer is listed in Login items on my Ventura machine.

macompatsvc, McAfee, Inc. & FireEye Secuirty Holdings US LLCmacompatsvc, McAfee, Inc. & FireEye Secuirty Holdings US LLC

Also there is three listing after the installation:-

1) FireEye Security Holdings US LLC
2) macompatsvc
3) McAfee, Inc.

As soon as I am installing Trellix Agent the other listings are getting disappeared and Only FireEye Security Holdings US LLC is available.

Only FireEye Secuirty Holdings US LLCOnly FireEye Secuirty Holdings US LLC

I have query why macompatsvc is getting listed after installing the FRP ?

Is there any document released where it is mentioned that after installing the agent the other listing will get removed and left with only FireEye Security Holdings US LLC ?

I know that macompatsvc is used for communicates to the managed product plug-ins.

Can someone please shed some more information on this ?

Quick One, Could you please confirm me why the macompatsvc is showing in the login items mentioning items from unidentified developer.

Macompatsvc shouldn't even be running on a MAC.  Do you have a ticket open?
