roll-up query options difference

Jump to solution

any idea why in a normal query when selecting columns I have access to EEPC product data and in the roll-up query I can only access EEPC product version but no details on the functions like for example "state (system)"? ePO Version is 5.10 CU 6

to be specific:

-scenario one -> new query -> feature group: system management

-scenario two -> new query -> feature group:  roll up target

If you edit that task and add secondary action, you can see all the options for what to roll up.  Yes, it gathers additional data.

Do you have all the same extensions checked in?  Have you run the tasks to gather the rollup data on the source server?

the extensions appear to be the same, all in version 7.2.10.65

however the rollup data server task is disabled and as far as I can tell, was never running in the past - I tried to read documentation about this function but I fail to understand what difference will it make to enable the rollup server task on the source server - any chance you could elaborate that in some simple terms?

If you read the description of the task, it is self explanatory.

This default task creates roll up data for this McAfee ePO server for inclusion in multi-server reporting.

Right, but for me this task is disabled and has never run and yet on the destination server a am able to create an up to date report containing system info and product versions. What I don't understand is, how can I access this other data without this rollup data server task enabled on the source server? Does the task collect more detailed data and the base data like for example OS last communication and product version is being collected via another channel?
