trellix epolicy orchestrator 5.10.0 server service fails to start after installing Microsoft May Ser

Hello All

Last saturday our infrastructure team ran the MS May server updates across our servers and we noticed that the agent handler on our ePO server was not running. 

We found that the trellix epolicy orchestrator 5.10.0 server service on the ePO server was not running and every time we tried to start it it fails saying Error 2: the system cannot find the file specified.

We have a ticket with support and they have all the logs they need but they are taking an age to reply and really need to find a fix.

Were there any other changes?  You might want to run this to see if you get any more meaningful info.  This is from KB79646.

Capture Apache -X output:

  1. Click Start, Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
  2. Verify that the ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Server service is not running.
  3. Click Start, Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
  4. Navigate to: \McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator\Apache2\bin
  5. Type Apache.exe -X and press Enter.
    NOTE: This command is case sensitive.
     
  6. When you see MFEFIPS Module Shutdown Complete, capture the complete details that display on the command prompt to a text file.
