ENS error communicating with the event log

I have tried a number of procedures all fail. I cannot delete the DAD dat file due to permission issues. I cannot change ownership. The agent service is not running. I cannot uninstall Agent or ENS. I have tried using MCPR this will not run. I cannot log into ENS admin as it says the password is wrong. I admin the client through epo. I think I need to stop the McAfee service controller to continue but I haven't found a way of doing it at the moment, Any help most welcome. Thanks.

Hello an update

I have managed to resolve the uninstall issue. I run the EPR program and waited for the scan t complete then installed the Certs and run the uninstall all clear now rebooted and re-installed Trellix products.

Hi @DavidH ,

MCPR is a removal tool for Consumer Products.

Please use EndPoint Removal Tool (EPR) by following the instructions below to download.

1. Go to the Product Downloads site.

2. Log on with your Grant Number and email address, and fill out the Captcha.

3. Search for Endpoint Product Removal, or in Filters select Utilities and Connectors.

4. Locate, select, and download the latest version of the Endpoint Product Removal tool.

Hi

Thank you. I will give it a go and report back. I spent lots of time digging around for solution and tripped up  on such a basic error. Doh

Hi sorry for delay I have run the EPR program on the client and it has failed to remove ENS a lot of permission issues. Any further help much appreciated.
