I am currently having issues with installing McAfee ePO using the setup.exe.
I am able to get to entering the database information however once I hit next I get the "Found corrupted files" error.
Going through the installation logs I get the following:
EPO5100-Install-MSI : Installation operation failed - MainEngineThread is returning 1602
EPO5100-Install-CustomAction: Failed the EPOIP check, so blocking install
InstallationHIstory: msiexec returned 1602 (Installation Canceled)
Has anyone run into this issue before?
Thanks!
Solved! Go to Solution.
Failed the EPOIP check, so blocking install, Pre-Installation Auditor (PIA) version 3.1.0.189 (posted July 22, 2019) contains updated signed certificates which resolve this issue.
The ePO PIA tool is bundled with the ePO installer starting in ePO 5.10.0. For the ePO 5.10.0 installer to use the latest ePO PIA tool, follow the steps below:

Sounds like the issue from the article below:

Could you please try with the latest packages?

Would this be considered a one time fix or will these certs within the installer need to be updated again down the line?
it is a one time fix.
I can not get the link to download the standalone package (ePOIP310_189R4.zip)... The links in the documentation are dead links. Can someone point me to a working link?
which document are you looking at? the most recent version of the PIA tool are on the downloads page or the ePO software catalog
This one:

I'm trying to install the trial version on a virtual machine, so we can evaluate the application
How have you sign up for a trial? was it directly with us or a partner? normally to downloads our products you would need what we call a Grant Number and those Grant numbers are also sometimes provided when testing the product, do you have a grant number or how are you getting the ePO trial packages? (the main ePO zip will contain this tool too )
