Delete Files/Folders from Root of C

I have users that have the need to remove folders/files that are on root and now cannot remove them because of MACC.  I can't skiplist -d the entire 'c' drive so what's the best way to allow this to happen?

What message does it appear when you try to remove the files/folders .

Are those files solidified ?

Have you tried to remove them while in update mode or observe mode ?

Thanks for reach us on the Community forum. 
Well solid core will not block the deletion of File and folder from any directory.
It will restrict the deletion of only Solid core related files/folder and registry because to self protection. 

If the root files and folders are failed to delete or remove, some application might have locked the file and it does not allow to remove.

A quick reboot might help you to remove the file / folder. 

However if you still suspect MACC is blocking, There must be a events triggered while you perform this action. Try to put the event description we can help you to understand if solidcore is blocking why its blocking.

OK.  The user is trying to delete DLL and EXE from a folder off of root.  That's why they can't delete the folder.

Should I put that folder on a skiplist -d so they can delete files.  Once those files are deleted, they should be able to remove the folder, right?

The bigger question, if the above is the right path forward, how do i do this for multiple folders on root?  I don't want to have to create a skiplist for all of these random folders that developers have created.

Please advise.

So the question is will the dll/exe constantly change. Cause you dont want to constantly have to add files to your skiplist -d

Answer: What about creating the Admin account as an updater. Do your users have 2 accounts? THeir admin and user permissions? if so you could give their admin account updater permissions and they would be able to do what they need. Either that or you have to unsolidify those files or put in update mode everytime they need to make changes to those files.
