REST APIs for DLP rules

Hello,

I've been working on scripting the creation of DLP classification rules through REST APIs.
Following this KB, https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB87855, I've been able to automatically create dictionaries.

Is it possible to automate the process further through REST APIs? I'd like to create classification rules that use the dictionaries that I just created, but can't find any routes for that.

Thank you for you help.

Re: REST APIs for DLP rules

You cannot create classification outside ePO console.

You can import new definitions like email addresses and URL and import these using the ePO DLP API and the Apply the DLP policy using the ePO DLP API.

Re: REST APIs for DLP rules

Hello Spederse,

Thank you for your answer. Is there any plan on extending the REST API capabilities in a near future?

Hi @Former Member ,

That's actually a question to the Product Management team 🙂 And yes we are working on extending the capabilities for DLP Rest API however to know this information we advise you to raise a PER or you can write your ideas to extend the capabilities for DLP REST API using the article below.
