How to Check DAT Version/Date in ENS?

Jump to solution

Hi All,

I've recently migrated from McAfee VirusScan Enterprise to Endpoint Security on my Windows 10 laptop and everything apears to be working fine apart from I appear to have lost the ability the check the date of the DAT.

Under VirusScan Enterprise, I would regularly check the date of the DAT in the 'About' screen to confirm it was never more than a day or so old, but this information appears to be missing frm the About screen in Endpoint Security.

It does tell me when the 'Last Security Update Check' was performed, but this only has a date and time, and doesn't state whether it completed sucessfully. On a couple of ocassions when I've manually performed an 'Update Security', it's gave an error warning the DAT hadn't updated and don't want to inadvertently be out of date. Trying to look for info in the manual update process is a bit of a nightmare too in amongst the mass of 'verbose debug' information provided and the window self-destructs after 30 seconds!

Can anyone suggest how I can check my systen is up-to-date please?

Hi @Former Member (great user name btw!)

This is the equivalent of the VSE window you mentioned:

If you open the ENS console and navigate to the top right of the screen, there is an arrow, click on that and from there you can go to the "About" screen of ENS in which you will see the AMCORE Content under Threat Prevention.

Hope this helps!

Good day,

It would still be nice if it showed up, along with the ENS version, in the Agent details.

Thanks,
